School, school, and MORE school

Okay, so I must say that I am the worst blogger around! It has been almost a YEAR since I have updated my blog. I have been so busy with school and work, that I didn't even realize how much time has gone by. I'm making a promise to myself, family, and friends to keep my blog going. This way everyone can know what's going on and I can have a some downtime to express what I'm thinking. (PLUS TAKE A HOMEWORK BREAK)

Chase and I have had so much going on since the last time I updated, that I don't even know where to start. Mostly we stay busy! I started Clinicals on January 1o. I will graduate July 29!! I CAN'T WAIT!! I am soooo glad that I have found a real passion for what I'm studying! What can I say??? I love blood, poop, urine, and other body fluids!! LOL! Never in a million years, did I imagine I would LOVE Clinical Laboratory Science, but I DO!! I started off my clinical rotation in the Chemistry department. It went very well and I really enjoyed it. I am now in Blood Bank, which I am also really enjoying. It is so interesting to me to Type and Screen blood. I will stay in Blood Bank unitl April, then it will be time for my Microbiology rotation. I'm excited about this also, except for the smells. I have smelt some pretty nasty things in that department. I have learned a trick though... a little Vicks under the nose goes a long way. Clinicals Monday through Thursday, studying every night, homework questions, and having test every Friday is exhausting! I will be so happy to be done soon and I know Chase will be so happy too! I think he misses our old routine of me cooking almost EVERY night! Chase has started back to school too. He is working on his Masters. I am VERY PROUD of him!! I also think he his getting a taste of my medicine. Sometimes you need to do homework, instead of cooking and folding clothes. LOL! We are just trying to get our lives in order and both done with school before we have a "Baby Bradley" in a few years.

Another important thing that happened is I am now married to a celebrity! My hubby killed a HUGE buck! I really didn't understand how big it was until I saw it. I joke with Chase about it because he looks happier in the deer pictures than he does on our wedding day. LOL! This deer was such a big one, that he made the cover of Mississippi Sportsman magazine. There is a great article about him in the magazine and on their website. I'm very happy and proud of my "handsome hunter."

Crazy for Coupons

Okay so everyone has heard that coupons save money. I have always tried to use them when I go to the grocery store (if I don't leave them on the counter at home). I know it can be time consuming cutting them out and making a list of what you need. A few years ago I stumbled upon the website www.couponmom.com and read all about how this lady saved TONS of money at the store. I have just recently tried it out myself. Today I went to Kroger and I had lots to buy. We were just about out of everything! I spent $110.53, but I saved $87.49 with coupons and my Kroger card!! I got almost $200.00 worth of groceries, dog food, cleaning supplies, and ect. for $110.00!! Whoooo! I was excited! I love saving money! With me in school and the purchase of our first home, we have been trying to save and budget more. I'm very proud of myself for the savings I got today!! Most people my age thinks that money grows on trees. I have learned that when you work hard you just don't want to blow your money. I challenge all my friends and family to be "Crazy for Coupons" like me!!

A Family of Six

Thanks to my friend Kelly, I have decided to start a blog. I'm very excited, but I hope I can keep it going. My life is a bit crazy right now with school and work!! I decided to call our blog Barking with the Bradleys (Thanks Janet) because Chase and I have 4...yes I said 4... Chihuahuas. It can be very crazy at times and they are A LOT of work, but they love me and Chase all the time no matter what. We have Coach (I like Coach purses, so thats where his name is from), Bella, Lola, and Speckles. We are a family of six! When Chase and I were dating I already had Coach. We decided to get him a play mate and that's how Bella came about. Then a year later...the UNEXPECTED! Bella had three puppies. We were going to sell two and keep one. I liked one puppy and Chase liked another one. We kept two...CRAZY! But now we are one big happy Chihuahua family!
Chase and I started a new chapter of our lives a few weeks ago with the purchase of our first home! We are loving it! The week we moved, I had finals going on so it was very hectic to say the least. We made it through moving and I made it through finals with a GPA of 4.0!! I was thrilled since I was taking 17 hours of all science. Trying to get everything in the right place and decorating is another story. It's coming along slowly, but surely. I'm a little picky and a little OCD, so I'm very thankful to my wonderful husband for all his patience putting up with me!! I also owe a BIG thanks to my two best friends (Janet and Kelly) for all their great decorating help!! I'm hoping the rest of the weekend I can take it easy because I start school back on Monday, crazy since it is a holiday. But the sooner I go back, the sooner I'll be done!!
